GREENWOOD, Ind.– Kiera Mayer of the Mount Vernon Nazarene University softball team added another accolade to her collection on Tuesday, June 18.
Just weeks after being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District NAIA Team, the sophomore and All-Crossroads League First-Teamer earned herself a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-America NAIA Second-Team.
Along with a great academic year in the classroom, the nursing major collected 52 hits and 52 RBIs while batting .342 in 2024. Mayer set a new MVNU single-season record with 15 home runs, ranking her tied for fourth in the NAIA.
The All-American honor is the first of Mayer’s career.
