Fadely to swim at U.S. Olympic Trials

GAMBIER, Ohio — Kenyon College standout swimmer and rising senior Jennah Fadely is on her way to the U.S. Olympic Trials at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Trials, the first ever to be held in a football stadium, are on track to be the largest swim meet ever. The event will last nine days and is expected to draw more than 250,000 fans as nearly 1,000 swimmers will compete for 52 spots on Team USA.

While the Trials are set to begin Saturday, Fadely will be competing Sunday in the preliminary heats for the 100-meter breaststroke.

Fadely is a six-time NCAA champion, including the back-to-back reigning champion in the 100-yard breaststroke event. She was the 2023 champion in the 200-yard backstroke and has three relay titles on her resume, as well.

A 17-time All-American, Fadely owns Kenyon records for the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke, the 100-yard individual medley, and as a part of the two medley relays. She’s also the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) record-holder for the 100-yard breaststroke and 400-yard medley relay. In 2023 and 2024, she was named the NCAC Swimmer of the Year.

Fadely will enter the breaststroke Trials with a seed time of 1:09.53, which ranks her 36th among the 81 swimmers participating in the event.
