WMVO Good Times Great Oldies
GREENWOOD, Ind.– The Mount Vernon Nazarene University baseball team had four student-athletes earn a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Baseball Team.
After strong seasons on the field and in the classroom, pitcher Maxwell Donawa (JR), catcher Casey Kalman (SR), pitcher Cruz McFadden (SR), and first baseman Johnny Nixon (SO) each earned recognition for MVNU.
The Academic All-District® award is given to student-athletes with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and at least one full year at their current institution. Individuals must have been nominated by their Sports Information Department, reached sophomore status academically, and played in at least 90% of the total games played by the team or started in at least 66%. Pitchers must have made at least 17 pitching appearances or thrown at least 25 innings.
