Head on Down to Camp Mount Vernon: July’s First Friday

Experience Mount Vernon has another fun packed First Friday planned for July, the theme this month being summer camp! The activity center will be right on the square this event, filled with family friendly events from kayaking to friendship bracelets and many other camp themed activities. Food trucks and over 100 vendors will be lining the streets of downtown. Side Effects will be performing on Burrata Woodfired Main Stage for some fantastic live entertainment. There are other events for people to enjoy such as a family feud game between New Directions and MMVAF and Touch-A-Truck competition put on by CES Credit Union.

Last First Friday in June was a smashing success! A huge turnout of vendors, food trucks, and crowds made their way to downtown to enjoy an evening with their community. August registration for vendors is open and the final day to register is July 2. Though there is no cruise-in for July, there is one for August so make sure to register for no only the cruise-in but the dog parade as well. August First Friday will be a “doggone” good time with WNZR’s annual dog parade and other fun animal theme activities to enjoy. Further information for upcoming First Fridays will be on the Experience Mount Vernon website at https://www.experiencemv.org/dates
