The Lexington Blueberry Festival, held at Lexington Community Park, is Ohio’s only festival of its kind! Family fun abounds with kids games, various rides and craft vendors, and much live entertainment. Centered around blueberry foods and games.  Admission & parking are free.

Stockhands Veterans Night @ Stockhands Horses For Healing

Mount Vernon Farmers Market @ Downtown Mount Vernon

One of Mount Vernon’s most popular
downtown activities resumes next month. The 2021 Mount Vernon
Farmers Market begins Saturday, May 1, on the Public Square from
9 a.m. to noon. The market will feature vendors offering locally
grown fruits and vegetables, fresh local honey, baked goods,
homemade candy, maple syrup, goat milk soap and more.
Shoppers aged 60 and older can receive vouchers on market days from the Knox County Task Force for
Older Adults. Seniors who reside in Knox County will be eligible to sign up on the square to receive
tokens to use at the market for fresh produce, herbs, and honey. Other incentive programs offered at
the market this year will include SNAP, Produce Perks, and the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program
(SFMNP). Stop by the market information booth for details on these incentive programs.
COVID-19 protocols will continue this year until further notice. All vendors will wear masks during the
market and shoppers are strongly encouraged to wear masks as well. Hand sanitizer will be available
throughout the market. Shoppers will be encouraged to keep social distance while selecting their items.
Parking will be available around the square and in nearby lots.

Birdwatching for Beginners @ Grange Insurance Audubon Center

If you’ve wondered what birdwatching is about, but can’t even see a bird in a pair of binoculars, this is for you. Bring your binoculars or use ours. We’ll teach you tricks to start or improve upon a fun hobby. Weather permitting, we’ll go on a short hike or ‘arm chair’ bird watch.
