Kenyon paces 2022-23 NCAC Academic Honor Roll

CLEVELAND, Ohio — On Wednesday, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced that a total of 1,183 student-athletes have been named to the 2022-23 NCAC Academic Honor Roll following the completion of the academic year.

The honorees were selected from all nine full-time NCAC institutions and two affiliate members. Each full-time institution had at least 44 student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll for an average of 129 student-athletes per school.

To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Kenyon had 176 student-athletes earn a spot on the honor roll for this past 2022-23 academic year, the conference’s highest total of representatives.

The 1,183 student-athletes on the list accounted for 1,321 total roster spots, which takes into consideration multi-sport student-athletes. Football student-athletes led the way for the first time in 10 years with 115 total honorees, while women’s track and field posted the second-highest total with 99 student-athletes after leading the league with the most honorees the last nine years. Women’s soccer was represented by 96 student-athletes for the third most, which placed the sport in the top three for the fifth-consecutive time. Baseball tallied 93 student-athletes on the list for the fourth most, earning a spot in the top four for the third-straight year. Men’s track & field round out the top five with 89 honorees, which places the sport in the top five for the ninth time in 10 years.

The 2022-23 NCAC Academic Honor Roll class features eight graduate students, 386 seniors, 345 juniors and 444 sophomores.
