Mount Vernon, OH – Ed Lambert, Career Based Intervention (CBI) instructor at Knox
County Career Center (KCCC), received the Gold Star Award at the CBI 2023 Spring
Conference Awards Ceremony held the last week of April.

Lambert has dedicated 40 years to guiding and educating students in Ohio. Lambert
began teaching with the Department of Youth Services in Scioto Village at William K. Willis High
Schools. He then moved on to Hamilton Township High School before coming to KCCC, where
he has served for 28 years.

Lambert exemplifies to everyone the importance of building relationships with students
and how that relations and trust earned, then allows for direction and advice to be given and
accepted.

Kathy Greenich, Superintendent at KCCC, said, “Ed’s 40 years dedicated to guiding and
educating students in Ohio deserved to be honored. He builds relationships with his students
which opens the door for him to guide and direct them in career and life choices.”

“It’s been fun, and memories were made, but it’s time for new adventures,” commented
Lambert. Lambert is retiring after the completion of the 2022-2023 school year.
