20 Found Guilty in Mount Vernon Municipal Court

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found seven guilty and after hearings were
held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on June 27, 2022.
Kathleen Wood, 35 of Delaware, was found guilty of Petty Theft. The Court sentenced
her to serve seven days in jail, with all time suspended, and pay restitution.
Andrew Francis, 25 of Glenmont, was found guilty of nine counts of Unlawful
Possession of a Deer and/or its parts. The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, serve
30 days in jail, with all time suspended, and placed him on two years of probation.
Alyee Daniel, 25 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle without a
License Plate Light. The Court sentenced her to pay a $50 fine.
Levi Kolasky, 20 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While Under
the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail, with
177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the following
conditions: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program and complete a
drug and alcohol assessment, and suspended his operator’s license for one year.
Jonathan Gelinas, 21 of Allentown, NJ, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While
Under the Influence. The Court sentenced him to pay a $500 fine, serve 180 days in jail,
with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years of community control with the
following condition: attend and complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and
suspended his operator’s license for one year.
Monte Stayton, 64 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Reckless Operation. The Court
sentenced him to pay a $250 fine, serve 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended, placed
him on one year of community control with the following condition: attend and

complete a 72-hour driver intervention program, and suspended his operator’s license
for 180 days.
Tina Lutz, 57 of Columbus, was found guilty of Driving Under a 12-Point Suspension.
The Court sentenced her to pay a $200 fine.

the State of Ohio in these cases.

and hearings were held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on June 28, 2022.
Steven Keener, 38 of Howard, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension.
The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine.
Brittany Tomlin, 32 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty Failing to Keep an Assured Clear
Distance Ahead. The Court sentenced her to pay a $25 fine.
Shawn Melvin, 36 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA Suspension.
The Court sentenced him to pay a $250 fine.
Melvin Yeatman, 29 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse
Instruments. The Court sentenced him to serve 90 days in jail, with 60 days suspended,
and placed him on two years of probation with the following conditions: complete a
drug and alcohol assessment and 15 hours of community service.
Paige Canter, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty Theft. The Court sentenced her to
serve 180 days in jail, with 165 days suspended, and placed her on two years of
probation with the following conditions: complete a drug and alcohol assessment and to
pay $29.98 in restitution.
Alexis Huffman, 23 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct with
Persisting Behavior. The Court sentenced her to serve 30 days in jail, with 25 days
suspended, and placed her on one year of probation with the following condition:
complete 15 hours of community service.
Dale Shough, 42 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct with
Persisting Behavior. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with 20 days

suspended, and placed him on two years of probation with the following condition:
complete a drug and alcohol assessment and 10 hours of community service.
Ryan Dewyze, 38 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle with
Fictitious Plates. The Court sentenced him to serve three days in jail.
Director of Law, Rob Broeren, represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of
Ohio in these cases.

were held in the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on June 29, 2022.
Gilmar Hernandez, 26 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Operating a Vehicle While
Under the Influence and Failing to Stop After an Accident. The Court sentenced him to
pay a $550 fine, serve 180 days in jail with 177 days suspended, placed him on two years
of community control with the following conditions: attend and complete a 72-hour
driver intervention program and complete a drug and alcohol assessment, and
suspended his operator’s license for one year for the OVI charge, with an additional 180-
day license suspension for the Failure to Stop After an Accident charge.
Justin Henderson, 27 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under an FRA
Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine.
Joshua Curl, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under a License
Forfeiture Suspension. The Court sentenced him to pay a $300 fine.
Connell Frazee, 35 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving Under Suspension and
Driving an Unsafe Vehicle. The Court sentenced him to pay a $200 fine for the DUS
charge and a $25 fine for the Unsafe Vehicle charge.
Michael Huff, 52 of Centerburg, was found guilty of Domestic Violence, Aggravated
Menacing, and Telecommunications Harassment. He will be sentenced on August 9,
2022 following a pre-sentence investigation.

the Hernandez and Huff cases.
Director of Law, Rob Broeren, represented the City of Mount Vernon and the State of
Ohio in the remaining cases.
