Women’s Volleyball has Three Earn AVCA Honors

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team saw three student-athletes receive honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for their play during a fantastic season.

Reagan Nuss landed on the NAIA Midcentral Region First Team. The sophomore setter from Brownstown, Indiana averaged 10.39 assists per set and had 1,444 assists on the season. Nuss also had 414 digs and averaged 2.98 per set.

Lyssi Snouffer had a great first season on the court for MVNU. The junior outside hitter from Delaware, Ohio claimed First Team honors after she averaged 3.57 kills per set while hitting .226 on the season. Snouffer had 410 digs and averaged 2.95 digs per set to help anchor MVNU’s backline.

Libby Evanshine was a force for the Lady Cougars as a freshman. The outside hitter from New Vienna, Ohio earned Honorable Mention recognition after hitting .307 in 2023 and averaging 3.07 kills per set.
