Women’s Volleyball Dealt First Loss at No.11 IWU

MARION, Ind. – The No.25 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team (11-1, 0-1) lost its first match of the 2022 season as it dropped the first Crossroads League match to No.11 Indiana Wesleyan University (7-2, 1-0) on Wednesday, September 7.

The Lady Cougars lost to the Wildcats three sets to none, with the scores being 25-20, 25-16, and 25-10 in the top 25 matchup.

Ashley Stumperth led the Lady Cougar attack with eight kills on the night. Erica Gasser added six kills of her own.

Paige Brenner had 19 assists and added seven digs.

Jaelyn Tang had eight digs and Reagan Nuss added seven.

What’s Next

The Lady Cougars return home to Ariel Arena on Saturday, September 10 to take on Thomas More University at 12:00pm and West Virginia Institute of Technology at 4:00pm in the Tri-Tournament.
