MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team released its 30-match schedule on Thursday, June 26.
The season begins in Fullerton, California, in the HIU Invitational on August 22-23. The Invitational will be a good test early for the Lady Cougars, as they face four teams that were a part of the NAIA National Tournament and finished the season in the final NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches Top 25 Rating. MVNU starts with No. 7 Southern Oregon and then takes on No. 25 The Master’s on the first day. MVNU swept The Master’s in the National Tournament in Sioux City last season. Day two of the Invitational sees the Lady Cougars take on No. 5 Bellevue and The College of Idaho, who finished last season ranked No. 22.
MVNU’s first home match of 2025 comes against the University of Rio Grande on August 27 in Ariel Arena. The Lady Cougars begin conference play with three straight home matches against Bethel University (September 3), Taylor University (September 6), and Huntington University (September 10).
The regular season concludes on November 5 with a road contest at the University of Saint Francis, and Crossroads League Tournament action follows on November 8 for the top eight teams in the conference standings.
