Wolf Surpasses 100 Career Points on Senior Night in Season Finale

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s lacrosse team (11-3) concluded its season with Senior Night at CH4, facing La Roche University (0-9) on Wednesday, April 9.

MVNU lacrosse seniors, Ryan LaAsmar, Gabe Wolf, Blaine Hergenrother, Tyler Dickerson, Kaden Tinner, Preston Barnes, Bryce Morningstar, and Edward Burcham were honored before the game for their unwavering dedication and hard work throughout their time in the program.

MVNU delivered a dominant performance in their matchup against La Roche, securing a 27-1 win. The Cougars started with intensity, scoring eight goals in the first quarter to take early control of the game, while La Roche managed just one goal during the opening period. Taking an 8-1 lead into the second quarter, the Cougars tacked on five more goals, stretching their advantage to 13-1 by halftime.

Wolf hit a career milestone in the third period of the game, reaching 100 career points with a goal off an assist by Zechariah Gee. After a nine-goal third period, MVNU added five more in the fourth, capping off a big win on Senior Night to close the 2025 season.

Hergenrother made his first career start in goal and recorded five saves. Freshman goalie, Vaughan Hawkins entered late in the fourth and added two more saves, bringing his season total to 101.
