“We are thankful to welcome Jenna as our next head cheer coach,” said director of athletics, Chip Wilson. “This program has grown significantly under the leadership of Melissa Nowicki, and she has left the program in a good place for our next coach to step in. Jenna brings a good working knowledge of the sport, and her faith, enthusiasm and ability to connect with students are characteristics that will help her lead this program well. We are thankful to have Jenna as a part of our team.”
Squires brings with her 10 plus years of cheer experience and over three years of coaching. After a successful high school career, Squires cheered at Thomas More University and was a team captain for two seasons. “I am honored to be stepping into the role of head cheer coach at Mount Vernon Nazarene University,” said Squires. “Cheerleading has been a part of my life since elementary school continuing through high school and into college, and it has shaped so much of who I am today.
