KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University softball team found itself ranked in the third edition of the 2023 NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll on Wednesday, April 5.
The No.20 ranking for the Lady Cougars is the first NAIA national ranking in team history. MVNU is coming off a big week in which it swept Indiana Wesleyan University, who was ranked sixth at the time, on the road.
MVNU currently sits at second in the Crossroads League with a 11-3 record. Overall, MVNU is 19-4 on the season.
MVNU joins No.12 Marian University and No.22 Indiana Wesleyan University as the Crossroads League schools in the rankings.

The Lady Cougars are in action Today, April 6 at Cougar Field as it hosts Taylor University for a doubleheader. Game one is slated to start at 3:00pm.
