Randall reels in NCAC Coach of the Year award

CLEVELAND — Serving as interim head coach of the Kenyon College diving program, Stan Randall was named today the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Diving Coach of the Year.

The award comes a few days after Randall directed senior Israel Zavaleta to the NCAC Diver of the Year award for the third straight season. Zavaleta won both the one-meter and three-meter boards at the 2024 conference championships last weekend by posting a score of 644.20 on the three-meter board, before resetting the national and NCAC records on the one-meter board with a score of 629.20.

Additionally, at the conference championship, Randall helped steer sophomore Owen Peterson to fourth-place finishes in both the one-meter and three-meter competitions.

Randall joined the Kenyon staff in November 2023 after serving as coach at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he worked for 21 years and mentored three NCAA diving champions and 15 All-Americans.
