KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kenyon College women’s soccer team was recognized Wednesday as winner of the United Soccer Coaches 2022-23 Team Academic Award, bestowed on collegiate teams for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the academic year.
In order to collect the award, members of a team had to combine to produce a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
The 2022-23 Kenyon club, directed by head coach Kelly Bryan, had 33 student-athletes who combined to chalk up a team grade point average of 3.61. On the field, the Owls posted an overall record of 7-6-4, including a first-place 5-1-1 mark within North Coast Athletic Conference play.
The Owls have now won the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award 19 times in the past 23 seasons.
