O’Flaherty joins Owls as assistant coach

GAMBIER, Ohio — The Kenyon College volleyball program completed its 2023 staff as Lauren O’Flaherty joined the Owls as an assistant coach ahead of the upcoming fall campaign.

O’Flaherty, who resides in nearby Howard, Ohio, is very familiar with the area having worked in and around the community for a number of years. She makes a return to coaching after previously working with both the Toledo Volleyball Club (TVC) and the Glass City Volleyball Club (GCVB). With both clubs, O’Flaherty coached the organizations’ girls Junior Olympic Volleyball programs. She also managed the program for TVC and was an assistant to the director at the GCVB.

O’Flaherty holds multiple coaching certifications from USA Volleyball, including IMPACT (Increased Mastery and Professional Application of Coaching Theory), SafeSport, M7A, and emergency response.A graduate of Lourdes University, O’Flaherty earned her bachelor’s degree in business in 2017 before earning her Master of Business Administration from Lourdes the following year.
