Nuss and Tang Claim Crossroads League Athlete of the Week Honors 

JACKSON, Mich. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team saw Jaelyn Tang win Defender of the Week and Reagan Nuss win Setter of the Week from the Crossroads League on Monday, September 15. 

Tang earned her first Player of the Week honor this season after playing a key role in the Lady Cougars’ victories over No. 16 Marian University and Huntington University. The senior recorded a career-high 34 digs in the match against the Knights and totaled 52 digs and 11 assists across the two matches. Tang averaged 6.50 digs per set. 

Nuss claimed her second Setter of the Week honor in the Crossroads League following a standout week of play. Nuss totaled 83 assists and 30 digs over the two matches. She averaged 10.4 assists and 3.8 digs. So far this season, she has accumulated 508 assists, 34 kills, and 152 digs, averaging 9.58 assists per set.
