No.22 Lady Cougars Fall to No.8 Indiana Wesleyan

No. 22 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball (9-2, 0-1) began conference play on Wednesday, September 6 in Ariel Arena against No.8 Indiana Wesleyan University (7-0, 1-0).

It was a hard-fought battle between two teams ranked in the NAIA Top 25 Poll, but MVNU would eventually fall in three sets to the Wildcats by scores of 25-21, 26-24, and 25-20.

Lyssi Snouffer – 9 kills, 5 digs, 3 blocks

Abbey Niemesh – 6 kills, .455 hitting percentage, 4 blocks

Libby Evanshine – 8 kills

What’s Next:

The Lady Cougars will be heading to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the AQ/CU Invitational, hosted by Cornerstone University and Aquinas College on September 8-9. MVNU plays Cornerstone and St. Francis (Ill.) on Friday at 3:00pm and 5:00pm. MVNU then plays Indiana South Bend and Aquinas the following day at 11:00am and 3:00pm.
