No. 16 Women’s Volleyball Swept by No. 8 IWU

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The No. 16 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team (16-1, 4-1) hosted No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan University (12-2, 5-0) in a big Crossroads League showdown on Wednesday, September 18 in Ariel Arena.

MVNU came out strong in set one, but a late IWU surge saw the guests come away with a 25-21 win. Set two remained close until the end, but again the Wildcats came away victorious, this time by a score of 25-23. MVNU found itself down 3-9 in the third but battled back to take a 22-21 lead. Despite the effort, MVNU fell 25-27 in the end, suffering its first loss of the 2024 season.
