No. 15 Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Foresters

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The No. 15 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team (9-4, 2-1 CL) hosted the Huntington University Foresters (11-2, 2-1 CL) in Ariel Arena on Wednesday, September 10.

The Foresters started the first set strong, but MVNU rallied and secured the win 25-22. The Lady Cougars then took set two 25-23, before securing the sweep with a 25-21 decision in set three. The loss for Huntington was just its second loss of the season.

Morgan Schlabach played a fantastic match. The freshman finished with 13 kills and 20 digs. Another freshman, Evelyn Brown, finished with 12 kills while hitting a blistering .706. Libby Evanshine had 11 kills and seven digs, while Jaelyn

Tang finished with 18 digs and six assists. Reagan Nuss had a great match of her own as well, finishing with 40 assists, five digs, and four kills.

What’s Next

MVNU takes on No. 16 Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday, September 12. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
