MVNU Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Huntington

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team (15-3, 2-3 CL) defeated Huntington University (6-10, 2-3 CL) in three sets on Wednesday night, September 21 in Ariel Arena.

The Lady Cougars won the first set 25-20, the second set 27-25, and the final set by a score of 25-22 to complete the sweep. The win is a good rebound for MVNU after dropping a match at Taylor on the weekend.

Inside the Box Score

Jaelyn Tang led the Cougars with 11 kills and 13 digs.

Ashley Stumperth added nine kills and seven digs.

Paige Brenner provided 27 assists and contributed with five kills.

Erica Gasser chipped in with six kills.

What’s Next

MVNU will travel to Goshen, Indiana on Friday, September 23 to take on the Maple Leafs in a Crossroads League showdown. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00pm.
