MVNU Has 23 NAIA Winter Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —  Mount Vernon Nazarene University had 23 student athletes named to the 2025 NAIA Winter Sport Daktronics Scholar-Athletes list by the NAIA.

This honor recognizes student-athletes in each of the winter sports who have excelled academically, including men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s bowling, women’s bowling, competitive cheer, competitive dance, men’s swimming and diving, women’s swimming and diving, men’s wrestling and women’s wrestling.

To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, be at least a sophomore academically, and appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport.

Competitive Cheer – Abby Schmetzer, Cadence Brooks, Kierstyn Keeper, Lacey Greszler, Naomi Kinne, and Samantha Wulff.

Men’s Basketball – Bailey Conrad, Devin Dreier, Drew Koning, Grant Burkholder, Bedi Lori, and Trent Koning.

Women’s Basketball – Angela Roshak, Camryn Cummings, Emily Walker, Grace Vermilya, Jaelle Keller, Katie Sprang, Teresa Maggio.

Men’s Bowling – Bryce Rinehart and Jacob Burre.

Women’s Bowling – Abigail Larkin and Mackenzie Kauffman.
