MVNU Golf Participates in the Kampen-Cosler Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. —  The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s and women’s golf teams competed at the Kampen-Cosler Invitational, held at the home course of the Purdue Boilermakers and hosted by Taylor University.

The men’s team secured 12th place at the Kampen-Cosler Invitational, finishing with a score of 683 (342, 341) through two rounds of play. Will Streby led MVNU with a tally of 168 (86, 82), tying for 34th place. Jaden Schlabach tied for 44th, finishing with a score of 171 (87, 84), Jack Mayle rounded out MVNU’s top three, tying for 49th with a score of 173 (84, 89).

The women’s team secured eighth place at the Kampen-Cosler Invitational, finishing with a total of 805 (411, 394). Mary Weisburn led the way, finishing 26th with a total of 191 (97, 94). Ryan Satterfield tied for 27th with a mark of 192 (96, 96), while Devon Carpenter tied for 35th with a 206 (106, 100) to secure a top three spot for the Lady Cougars

What’s Next:

The MVNU men’s and women’s golf teams are set to compete in the Pilot Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Indiana, on Saturday, April 19, with tee time scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
