GAMBIER, Ohio — The Kenyon College women’s soccer team just wrapped up its 2024 fall season, and the program wasted no time solidifying its coaching staff. After spending a season together, Head Coach Sarah McClellan announced that Alivia Milesky will stick with the Owls, moving to a full-time assistant coach position after spending the year as a part-time assistant.
With McClellan and Milesky on the sidelines, the Owls’ young roster gained invaluable experience as the program and players grew and transitioned with a new coaching staff. The team endured injuries throughout a campaign that saw the squad finish with a 1-11-2 record, but the Owls showed signs of growth over the home stretch as the team secured a pair of ties against strong North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) competitors to compile a 0-5-2 NCAC record.
Prior to her season with the Owls, Milesky coached multiple Ohio high school teams for three seasons, compiling an undefeated 25-0-1 record over her time as a varsity assistant and head junior varsity coach. In addition to coaching, Milesky also has extensive teaching experience in the classroom and in the weight room as both a school teacher and fitness professional.
Milesky, who currently resides in nearby Howard, Ohio, compiled a strong intercollegiate career as a women’s soccer player at Ohio University, where she graduated in 2020, before continuing her playing career at the professional level. With the Bobcats, Milesky was a three-time All-Conference honoree who bookended her career with All-Region honors as a senior and an All-Freshman team award as a first-year.
She continued to succeed in the professional sphere, playing for the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s (WPSL) Columbus Eagles FC and the Cincinnati Sirens of the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL), where her teams were PASL Nation Champions in 2022 and USA Mini Soccer World Cup Champions in 2021.
Just last month in October, Milesky helped lead the US Mini Football Women’s National Team to a WMF Women’s World Cup title. She played in every game of the 6v6 soccer tournament, scoring two goals to help the US clinch the crown.
