MVNU Men’s Volleyball Finishes Spring Break Trip with Victory

IGERVILLE, SC. – The (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s volleyball team (10-4, 6-3) had a matchup on Thursday, March 7 at NCAA Division II opponent North Greenville University (7-6, 6-2).

MVNU volleyball concluded its spring break trip with a four-set triumph on the road. The initial set saw MVNU clinching a narrow victory by a score of 25-23. North Greenville countered by claiming the second set 25-18. MVNU then dominated the third set by a score of 25-17. The fourth and final set proved to be a close, but MVNU would emerge victorious in the end by a final of 25-23.

Jaysen Matsumoto – 44 assists, 12 digs, 3 service aces, 3 blocks.

Luke Funte – 5 blocks, 5 kills, 4 digs.

What’s Next:

Men’s volleyball will be back home in Ariel Arena on Tuesday, March 12 against No. 13 Lourdes University. First serve is at 7:00pm.
