Men’s Volleyball Closes Season Against Indiana Tech 

— The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s volleyball team (5-20, 3-13 WHAC) hosted Indiana Tech (11-14, 10-6 WHAC) at home in Ariel Arena on Senior Day on Saturday, April 12.  

Before the home match began, the men’s volleyball team recognized its three seniors, Nathan Sharpes, Daniel Daly, and Cole Custodio for their dedication and contributions to the program. 

MVNU came out strong in the first set, taking an early lead. However, Indiana Tech battled back to tie the score at 16-16. The teams traded points in a tight back-and-forth battle, but the Warriors eventually pulled ahead to win the opening set 25-21. Indiana Tech carried that momentum into the second set, claiming it convincingly with a score of 25-16. The Cougars bounced back in the third, hitting at a solid .316 as a team and taking the set 25-16. In the final set, the Warriors held firm and maintained their lead, closing out the match with a 25-19 victory. 

Noah Wineberg led the offense with 10 kills, while Austin Kolaczkowski played a key role in setting up the attack, recording 33 assists. On the defensive end, Ethan Cline, Xander Devault, and Kolaczkowski each tallied seven digs.
