MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s soccer team (5-5-3, 0-4-1 CL) hosted Spring Arbor University (8-5-1, 3-1-1 CL) for a Crossroads League matchup at CH4 Stadium on Saturday, October 11.
SAU took the early lead in the first half with a goal from David Magalhaes at the 3rd minute mark. Later in the second half of the game, Caleb Swartzendruber for SAU would score again in the 81st minute. SAU would go on to win the game with a final score of 2-0.
SAU outshot MVNU 21-7. SAU put 12 shots on goal, and MVNU put three shots on goal. Brayden Pierson had a strong performance in net for MVNU and made nine saves.

MVNU will next travel to Marion, Indiana to play Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 15. Kickoff will start at 6:30 p.m.
