Lynch tabbed NCAC Pitcher of the Week

CLEVELAND, Oh. – After helping the Kenyon College Lords to a perfect 5-0 week and extend their win streak to eight games, the North Coast Athletic Conference named Frank Lynch this week’s Pitcher of the Week. In two starts, Lynch registered a 1-0 record in 8.2 innings of work, allowing just one run in that time.

In Tuesday’s home win over Bluffton, Lynch went 2.1 innings with an earned run, one hit, and two strikeouts. After the Lords defeated Hiram in game one, Lynch took the mound for Kenyon in game two. The first-year pitched his way to seven strikeouts in 6.1 innings without giving up a run. Against the Terriers, Lynch limited traffic on the basepaths, scattering five hits and a walk.

Lynch, now 2-0 on the season, boasts a 2.29 ERA with 18 strikeouts.

Kenyon, 13-6 overall and 2-0 in conference action, faces off with Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday in Delaware.
