The Centerburg baseball team improved to 3-2 and 3-0 in the KMAC with a 10-0 win on Monday. Senior Daniel Lemaster allowed just one hit and struck out 13 in 5 innings of the win. Cole Fricke allowed 10 runs but only one of them was earned as the Indians committed 7 errors in the loss. Mason Vallance had three hits for Centerburg and Vinny Morgan scored three runs for the Trojans who will play Mount Gilead on Wednesday. The Indians fell to 1-4 and 0-3 on the season.
Meanwhile Danville’s softball team one hit the Cardington Lincoln Pirates in a 6-0 KMAC win. The Lady Blue Devils got a pair of runs in the first on a home run by Addison Mickley and an RBI single by Ruby Bartok. Abbi Sapp hit a two run homer in the second. In the third Taylor Meade hit an RBI single. Addy Bocock struck out 14 in the win for Danville. She allowed one hit and no runs while walking two.
East Knox softball lost to Northmor 11-5 and East Knox baseball beat the Golden Knights 3-1. Centerburg Softball beat Mount Gilead 17-1. Jeannae Dial threw three innings allowing 1 unearned run on 3 hits and striking out 6 in the Lady Trojans win.
