Lady Cougars Swept at No.17 Marian

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s volleyball team (19-5, 6-5) was swept by No.17 Marian University (17-2, 9-2) in Indianapolis on Wednesday, October 5.

The Lady Cougars fell in three by scores of 25-15, 25-21, and 25-13.

Inside the Box Score

Ashley Stumperth and Erica Gasser each had 12 kills to lead the way for MVNU.

Molly Galaszewski kept up her strong defensive play with 15 digs.

Reagan Nuss matched Galaszewski with 15 digs. Jaelyn Tang added 11 digs.

Paige Brenner had 31 assists for MVNU. Brenner added three digs and two kills.

What’s Next

MVNU hosts a tri-tournament on Saturday, October 8. MVNU will play Trinity International at 12:00pm and Lourdes University at 4:00pm.
