WEEK 8 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PREVIEWS
6-1, 4-0 KMAC Centerburg Host 4-3, 2-2 KMAC Danville
The Centerburg Trojans raced out to a 32-0 lead in a shut out win at home against Mount Gilead last Friday Night. Quarterback Blane Ball ran for 121 yards and a touchdown, Miles Marshall ran for 85 yards and a score and Shawn Carter found the end zone in the win. Ball also was 8 of 12 passing with three touchdown passes one each to Miles Marshall, Hayden Love and Jackson Ballinger. Ball has thrown for 946 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. He also has rushed for 817 yards and 8 scores. Miles Marshall has rushed for a KMAC high 15 touchdowns and averages 9.6 yards per carry with 904 yards on the ground this season. The Trojans have the top ranked offense and defense in the KMAC . Averaging 40 points on offense and allowing 13 on defense.
Danville is coming off a 36-12 victory over Cardington Lincoln. Freshman Parker Proper threw for 245 yards and three touchdowns for the Blue Devils in the win. Cyren Wallace is still one of the top rushing threats in the KMAC rushing for 778 yards this season and 8 touchdowns and averaging 8 yards per carry. On the defensive side Chris Mosher leads the KMAC in tackles this season. Danville is 4th in points per game at just under 25ppg and 5th in scoring defense at 22 points per game.

Fredericktown survived a scare from Loudonville as they knocked off the Redbirds in overtime last Friday 26-20. Quarterback Blake Sipes totaled 3 touchdowns including an overtime score to help send the Freddies to victory. Sipes has been efficient this season throwing for 7 touchdowns against just one interception and 537 yards through the air. He has also run for 758 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. Cirk Parker has rushed for 303 yards and 6 touchdowns to compliment Sipes. Gavin Toombs has three receiving touchdowns while leading the KMAC in sacks this season. The Freddies have been hit by the injury bug a lot this year the latest being Senior Brode Davis is out for the season with a knee injury. The Freddies are the third best scoring defense in the KMAC.
East Knox is continuing on working to get better every day but struggled in a loss to Northmor 47-13 last week. They have now lost 3 straight after their lone win over Loudonville. The Bulldogs do have the top passer in the KMAC as Jax Lester has thrown a league high 17 touchdown passes with a league high 1363 yards this season. He also has some of the top receiving threats in Dakota Cooper, Rush Beatty and Logan Clark who combine for 1,050 yards receiving and 14 touchdowns this season. Caden Ridenour is tied for second in the KMAC in tackles with 98.
5-2, 2-0 LCL BUCKEYE Mount Vernon host 1-6, 0-2 LCL BUCKEYE Licking Heights

Mount Vernon is coming off a 28-27 win over Watkins Memorial last week. The Jackets now will be looking for their first 5 game win streak since 2014 with a victory. Landon Dawson had a two yard rushing score and 16 yard touchdown catch in the win. Mason Richards had a 7 yard touchdown run. The Jackets took the lead with 457 to go in the third quarterback when offensive lineman Nolan White recovered a fumble by Richards who then raced in the end zone for lead. An interception on the two point conversion sealed the deal with 1:16 to go. Richards ran for 193 yards and the 7 yarder in the win.
Licking Heights is coming off a 38-6 loss to Granville.
