Knox County Girls Basketball teams learn tournament fate in Division 3

On Sunday the High School Girls Basketball tournament draw took place throughout Ohio and for the first time in history the RPI was used to seed the schools for the tournament.

In Division Three the top seed is Mechanicsburg and they will host 25 seed East Knox on Tuesday February 20th at 7pm, the winner plays the 24 seed Madison Plains.

Fredericktown is the 12 seed and they will host 13 seed Tree of Life on February 20th. The winner will play the winner of 14 seed Columbus International at 7 seed Johnstown on February 23rd. Northmor is the 22nd seed and got a bye and will play the winner of 4 seed Marion Pleasant and 21 seed Fairbanks.

Centerburg is the highest seeded Knox County school in Division 3 at number 5. Bill Abner’s group got a bye and will host the winner of 11 seed Worthington Christian and 18 seed Columbus Academy. Centerburg could meet up with conference foe Cardington in a District Semifinal February 26th.

Utica is the 16 seed and will play at 10 seed Grandview Heights on February 20th at 7pm.
