Knox County Baseball teams find out tournament paths

The OHSAA high school baseball tournament draw took place Sunday and Knox County Schools now know their path to a state title.

In Division 2 Mount Vernon is the 4 seed and will host 19 seed Franklin Heights on May 24th with the winner playing the winner of 8 seed Westerville Central and 17 seed Licking Heights. The winners will meet in a District Final on May 28th. Big Walnut is the top seed in Division Two.

In Division 5. Fredericktown is a 6 seed and will host 13 seed North Union May 23rd with the winner getting the 2 seed Amanda Clearcreek in a District Semifinal May 27th. Centerburg is the 3 seed and will host 14 seed Harvest Prep May 23rd at 5pm. The winner plays the winner of 9 seed Northridge and 12 seed Mount Gilead. Fredericktown and Centerburg could meet in a District Final. The District Final will be held at MVNU 2pm May 29th. East Knox is the 4 seed and host 5 seed Marion Elgin May 23rd. The winner plays the winner of 10 seed Marion Pleasant and 11 seed Utica.

West Jefferson is the top seed in Division 6. Cardington Lincoln is the three seed.

Newark Catholic is the one seed in Division 7. Danville is the two seed. The Blue Devils host Ridgedale May 22nd.
