GAMBIER, Ohio – The 2023-24 Kenyon College women’s track and field program earned the distinction of being named an All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The honor was the program’s fourth straight and 15th overall.
To be eligible for the USTFCCCA academic award, a program had to produce a minimum team cumulative grade point average of 3.10. The Owls surpassed that mark easily, posting a combined mark of 3.59.
In addition to that honor, the 2023-24 Kenyon team had Paula Soric, a junior and a neuroscience and psychology double major, named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete for the third straight season.
To gain the individual honor, a student-athlete had to compile a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and had to compete in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship and/or had to finish the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event.
Soric excelled in the triple jump and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship meet, where she placed 17th. During the season, her best indoor triple jump mark was 37-4 ½ (11.39 meters). In the outdoor campaign, her best mark was 37-5 (11.40 meters), which she rang up twice.
