RICHMOND, Va.– The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently released the names of those swimmers and divers who were awarded spots on the Scholar All-American Team for the 2021-22 season. The national champion Kenyon College women’s swimming and diving team had a total of 15 honorees.
Those earning the honor were split into first- and second-team designations. To qualify for the Scholar All-America first team, a student-athlete needed a minimum grade point average of 3.50 and had to participate in the national championship meet. Second-team selections also earned a 3.50 grade point average or better and achieved a “B” time standard for the national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet.
A dozen of Kenyon’s 15 student-athletes listed made the first-team cut. That group included Kate Alexy, Ania Axas, Kira Bowling, Celia Ford, Sydney Geboy, Crile Hart, Jordan Herrera, Sarah Hoffman, Sydney McCallie, Emmie Mirus, Sophie Schmitz and Alexandra White.
Both Hart and Mirus are now four-time recipients of the CSCAA academic award.
Collecting positions on the second team for Kenyon were Ana Dunn, Anna Clare Fleenor and Racine Ross.
