GAMBIER, Ohio — Kenyon College seniors Sydney Geboy and Gabrielle Wei were selected as first-team members on the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-America Women’s Swimming & Diving Team. The announcement came Tuesday, along with the news that teammate and junior Molly Haag joined them as a third-team selection.
The honor marked the second straight season Geboy was named a first team Academic All-American. Wei and Haag were both previously named to the CSC’s Academic All-District Team, but their advancement to the All-America Team was a first for the two honorees.
To be eligible for CSC’s Academic All-America Team, a student-athlete had to be a key contributor who competed in at least five competitions throughout the season or had a top-eight finish at a conference meet. The student-athlete had to be on the team’s active roster for at least two years and had to possess a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Additionally, in order to reach Academic All-America status, a student-athlete had to be voted to the Academic All-District Team through an initial round of balloting that occurred three weeks prior.
Geboy will soon graduate with degrees in psychology and sociology. In the pool, she was a sprint specialist who piled up 14 career College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-America awards, including five earned at the 2025 NCAA Championship. She excelled in relays, amassing a career total of nine top-five finishes at nationals. In her first collegiate season, she was a member of Kenyon’s national title-winning 200-yard freestyle relay team, which set a program and NCAA record time.
Wei, a breaststroke specialist, is also a national champion for the Owls. Like Geboy, she qualified for four straight NCAA Championship meets. As a junior in 2024, Wei was the Division III champion in the 200-yard breaststroke. Over her four seasons, Wei participated in 13 NCAA events, collected CSCAA All-America awards in all 13 and finished each of those races in 10th place or better. This past season, she was national runner-up in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststrokes. She will graduate in May with a degree in sociology.
Haag is a freestyler who swims multiple distances. She’s a mathematics major in the classroom, while her pool time has included three straight trips to the NCAA Championship. At the 2025 national meet, she had four top-five event finishes and five All-America swims. She took silver in the 200-yard freestyle and bronze in the 1,650-yard freestyle. Her five All-America awards from this past season bump her career total to 13, matching Wei’s output. Additionally, Haag has produced a dozen top-10 swims at national championship meets.
Throughout the 2024-25 season, this trio of Owls played a significant role in helping the team win the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship and claim third place at the NCAA Championship.
