JACKSON, Mich. – After a big week for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University women’s basketball team, Serenitee Johnson has been named the Crossroads League Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
The freshman from Uniontown, Ohio averaged 26 points per game on 41.5% shooting from the floor to go along with 13 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game. Johnson was huge in MVNU’s road upset at (RV) Huntington University, finishing with a career-high 34 points and 17 rebounds.
Johnson and MVNU are back in action on Friday, December 13 at Kentucky Christian University at 1:00 p.m.
