PENFIELD, N.Y. — During a Sunday evening pre-Championship celebration, the NCAA Division III PING All-Region honorees were announced by the NCAA in coordination with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Among the selections were Kenyon College junior Will Hulsey and sophomore Jonathan Oakes.
Collegiate golfers across seven regions earned the honors. Region V, which included Kenyon, had a total of 15 honorees. The appearance on the All-Region list was a first for Hulsey and the second, in as many years, for Oakes.
Hulsey didn’t quite play the entire 2024-25 season, but he was able to participate in eight events, including 21 rounds. He fired a low round of 68 and posted an overall scoring average of 73.00, which was the second best mark on the team.
Oakes made his swings in 10 events and penciled in a team best 72.15 scoring average. He fired a low round of 65 and he recorded three top-10 individual finishes, including a win at John Carroll University’s Caschera/DiCillo Classic. He was named the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year and he will lead the Owls into the upcoming NCAA Division III Championship, which gets underway Tuesday morning.
