Freddies and Pirates face off for KMAC Title Friday Night in High School Boys Hoops

When the second meeting of the season between Cardington and Fredericktown was postponed January 14th to Friday a lot has happened in the KMAC but one thing remained is the Pirates and Freddies were on a crash course to face off for a Conference Title and that’s exactly what will happen tonight in Cardington.

The Freddies, 14-4, 12-1 in the KMAC will play the Pirates, 16-2, 12-1 KMAC will face off at 730 tonight. Pregame is at 715pm on the WMVO Facebook Page and WMVO on the radio.

The Freddies are coming off a win over Centerburg Tuesday Night 65-54. Three Freddies scored in double figures led by 24 points from Gavin Toombs. The Pirates beat the Mount Gilead Indians 72-55. Warren Garrison scored 31 points to the lead Pirates.

These two teams met back in December. Gavin Toombs led all scorers with 26 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Blake Sipes added 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Carson Rinehart contributed 10 points and 4 assists to the win. Freddies won 70-61.

Cardington-Lincoln’s leading scorer was AJ Brehm, who posted 22 points and 10 rebounds
