The Danville Blue Devils are coming off a win over Fredericktown 31-14. The Blue Devils trailed 14-7 at the half but outscored the Freddies 24-0 in the second half for the win. The Blue Devils ran for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns and averaged over 10 yards a carry led by freshman Cyren Wallace with 135 yards rushing and two scores and Jacob Hackman added 124 yards on the ground and 2 additional scores.
Danville allowed 320 yards defensively and Josh Byers the KMAC’s leading tackler had 15 on the night along with 4 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Caleb Lucas had 6 tackles and 2 tackles for loss and broke the all time tackle for loss record in school history.
East Knox fell to Centerburg 40-6 as they struggled with stopping the run as Miles Marshall ran for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Trojans win. Jaxon Lester threw for 143 yards on 5 of 20 passing and Blake Elliott ran for 67 yards and a score in the loss. Elliott has run for over 1200 yards and 9 touchdowns this year.
This could be a ground attack as the Blue Devils have talented runners too with Aiden Burke averaging almost 108 yards a game on the ground to go with 7 touchdowns and Wallace averages 11 yards a carry to go with 7 rushing scores as well. Jacob Hackman has 9 rushing touchdowns for the Blue Devils.
Danville won last year’s battle in the mud 14-12 in overtime. Danville won in 2022 as well 42-21.

All Time Series marks: Danville leads 42-24-1. The Blue Devils had a streak of winning 18 of 19 wins in the Devil Dog Game from the second match up in 1999-2017. Dating back to 2018 however, East Knox has won 4 of the last 6 meetings. The lone tie in the series was in 1960. Ed Honabarger holds the best mark as a head coach in the series at 18-6.
