Cougars Rated Fifth in Crossroads League Preseason Poll

JACKSON, Mich. – The Crossroads League office has announced its 2024 Baseball Preseason Poll as voted on by the league coaches on Tuesday, January 23.

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University baseball team was rated fifth in the conference preseason poll, only behind Taylor, Indiana Wesleyan, Huntington, and Saint Franics. Last season, MVNU placed sixth to end the 2023 season.

In addition to the team’s ranking in the preseason poll, MVNU Senior Catcher Casey Kalman was placed on the 2024 Players to Watch List after earning a Second Team All-Crossroads League selection last season as a junior.

The Spring season begins on February 26 in Florida against Cornerstone and Point Park.
