Cougars Drop Match to Capital

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s tennis team hosted Capital University at the Ramser Tennis Courts on Thursday, September 15.

After recently wrapping up Crossroads League play against Bethel University and Spring Arbor University, the Cougars turned their attention to the non-conference slate of their fall schedule.

MVNU fell to Capital by a score of 0-7 at Ramser. The doubles team of Clayton Amburgy and Andrew Hare were a bright spot for MVNU as they defeated the opposition by a final of 6-4. Despite falling in singles, Amburgy once again put his best foot forward. Amburgy pushed his competition to three games, falling by final scores of 6-4, 3-6, and 8-10.

What’s Next

MVNU stays at Ramser for a match against Otterbein University on Friday, September 16. First serve is at 4:30pm.
