CLEVELAND, Ohio — The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athlete of the Week awards on Monday, and Kenyon College’s Anna Brown became the latest Owl to earn the honor for her women’s indoor track and field performance. The weekly honor marks the second in Brown’s career after she was also recognized last season.
Brown brought home the conference honor after whipping up a win at the Wooster Invitational over the weekend, a six-team event hosted by The College of Wooster and composed primarily of NCAC competitors. The junior immediately returned to form in her first meet since studying abroad last semester, pacing the field in the 800-meter run. She clocked in at 2:25.76, winning the event by over two seconds.
Brown also helped add to Kenyon’s team point total in the meet’s final event, the 4×400-meter relay. On the day, the Owls finished fourth overall. Brown and the Owls will return to Wooster just one week after competing there when they take part in the Fighting Scots Invitational at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 25.
