Brayden Pierson Earns Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week 

JACKSON, Mich. – Sophomore goalkeeper, Brayden Pierson earned the Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week honor on Monday, September 8. 

Pierson’s strong performance has helped the Cougars to their undefeated record of 3-0-2. Pierson led MVNU with back-to-back shutouts.  

On Wednesday, September 3, Pierson had five saves, securing a shutout win of 4-0 against Rochester Christian University (Mich.). On Saturday, September 6, Pierson came away with five saves, which helped keep MVNU at a shutout tie of 0-0 against WVU Tech. 

So far this season, Pierson has helped MVNU secure four shutouts. Pierson has 28 saves and a save percentage of .933.
