Bowling Takes on OBC No.4 in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio. — The Mount Vernon Nazarene University bowling teams competed in the Ohio Bowling Conference No.4 in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, January 20.

The women placed 10th overall out of 16 teams with a score of 5878. The University of Northwestern Ohio won the tournament with a score of 6625. The men placed 14th overall out of 17 teams with a score of 6196. UNOH claimed first on the men’s side as well with a final tally of 7437.

Hannah Vaughn led MVNU’s women with a 19th place finish and score of 731 on the day. Abigail Larkin followed in 31st place with a total of 702. Larkin’s score was a four-game series personal best.

For the men, Justin Brown placed 43rd with a final of 714. Jacob Burre finished 52nd with a score of 695. Christian Phillips also turned in a strong performance as he had a personal best game score of 242.

MVNU competes in the Crossroads League Bowling Tournament No.3 in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 27.
