JACKSON, Mich. – Will Baker ofthe Mount Vernon Nazarene University men’s cross-country team, received his first career Crossroads League Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday, September 22.
Baker, a freshman from Mount Gilead, Ohio had a strong finish in his only second race as a Cougar. At the All-Ohio Meet in Cedarville, Ohio, Baker placed second overall, a tenth of a second behind the first-place runner, with a time of 24:37.9. The freshman broke his own school record from his previous race at the IWU Twilight Meet on September 5.
Baker and the Cougars will be competing in Delaware, Ohio on October 3 at 6:00 p.m. to run in the OWU Invite, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University.
