Armed Forces and First Responders Recognition Week

The Jacket Athletic Booster Club is proud to announce the Armed Forces and First Responders
Recognition Week September 22-24. The Jacket Boosters are teaming up with the Ohio
National Guard, Knox Veterans Services, Mount Vernon Police Department and Mount Vernon
Fire & EMS to recognize our armed forces (current and veterans) and first responders for our
Varsity athletic events happening September 22-24. Those service men and women will have
FREE admittance to all Varsity events September 22-24 along with a time to honor their
sacrifice to our community and country. A badge or military card showing past or present duty
is required for free admission per person. The Knox County Veterans Office can provide a
Veteran with their own free Veterans card (with proof of service required) at the KCVS office,
Mon-Fri 8am-4pm. The following is a list of athletic events Sept. 22-24 for the event:


Thursday September 22nd Girls Volleyball JV starts at 5pm MVHS Gym – opponent – Wooster
High School

Friday September 23rd Football kickoff at 7pm against New Philadelphia
Saturday September 24th Boys soccer at 1pm (op. – Clear Fork HS) and Girls soccer (op. –
Shelby High School) at 3pm both at Energy Field
