Abramson earns a spot on the All-NCAC squad

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) released its annual All-NCAC teams for volleyball on Monday following the balloting of the league’s coaches, and Lindsey Abramson represented Kenyon College as an all-conference honoree.

Abramson was tabbed as a member of the All-NCAC Third Team after compiling her best season on the court. The senior earned her first all-conference award after a stellar season that saw her post career highs across the board. She played in all 24 of Kenyon’s matches with 23 starts, and her 86 sets played tied for third on the team. Offensively, Abramson paced the Owls in points (209.5), points per set (2.44), kills (183), kills per set (2.13), and total attacks (533).

Additionally, her .199 hitting percentage was the second-highest mark on the team. Defensively, Abramson tied for fourth with 20 blocks, and her 139 digs were Kenyon’s fifth-most. She also excelled in the service game, leading the Owls with 367 receptions and posting the team’s second-best reception percentage at .943 while chipping in 15 service aces on the other side.

Among NCAC leaders, Abramson ranked 14th in kills and kills per set, 16th in points per set, and 17th in hitting percentage. Her 20-kills match against Hiram College was a career-high and marked the fifth-most kills in a game by an NCAC player this season. With 18 kills in a three-set sweep over Berea College, Abramson amassed the most kills of any NCAC player in a three-set match.
