The Nutcracker coming to the Woodward Opera House December 10th and 11th

Central Ohio Youth Ballet will bring The Nutcracker to The Woodward Opera House Dec 10 and

  1. Highlighting the production is the magic, pageantry and energetic dance of the holiday
    classic. Artistic director, Robert Cole, former dancer with The National Ballet of Canada, has
    drawn together a talented company of dancers from 5 different counties to present this beloved
    ballet. The production opens with the exciting party scene, builds to the battle between toy
    soldiers and menacing mice then proceeds through snowy landscape into the colorful kingdom
    of the sweets. The timeless story is revealed with beautiful dancing, vivid costumes and details
    to sparkle and entertain audiences of all ages.
    Forty youth dancers, flanked by adults as carolers and party attendees bring alive the story of
    Clara and her enchanted nutcracker in this fast paced, family friendly production, all set to
    Tchaikovsky’s classic score.
    The Central Ohio Youth Ballet is a 501 (c)(3) organization located in downtown Newark and has
    presented The Nutcracker and various modern and ballet works in a spring production since
    1995.

The Nutcracker will be performed for the first time at The Woodward Opera House on Saturday,
December 10 at 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 11 at 1:30 pm and 6:00 pm. Tickets are
